I hope you’ve all had a great weekend. I have been organizing my studio and just trying to get the house in order but we also managed to get in a short visit to the bookstore. I found a new magazine, The Simple Things, which I really liked. It had travel stories, pretty pictures, and articles on how to live well and enjoy life. I like these type of magazines especially when I feel like I need a reminder to calm down and enjoy the moment.
I also noticed that there is a new issue Flow Magazine and this is a special edition, The Flow Sketchbook. I was so tempted to get it and I’m still thinking about it. I may have to go back this week for it. We’ll see.
On the reading front I did finish my Amanda Quick book so I’ll try to do a little write up on it. I gave up on Deadline though. Not so much because I didn’t want to read the book but I knew I wasn’t going to finish it in time for book group this week. I have three other books in progress and I’d like to finish those this month before adding any others.
Later this week I’ll probably make a pit stop at the library to return some books, I’m waiting on one my husband is finishing, and then I’d like to try and not check out any books this Summer. I know, that sounds crazy but I am drowning in ARCs and my own unread stacks. Not a bad thing but I would like to read some of my own books! So let’s see how long I can hold out.

Ha! Look at your shelves! I took 50 books to GoodWill last week. They had been in the trunk of my car–for a long time. Almost all of them were ARCs that arrived in the mail.
Library is on my errand list this week. Thank goodness for free books wherever we can find them!
I have gave up the library for the most part the last couple years and my TBR pile is still out of control. lol
I really want to read something by Amanda Quick as she has been on my TBR list for awhile now. I have been trying to read review copies and my own books…. But then I went and put 3 holds on at the library. Oops 🙂 Have a great week!
I saw the previous FLOW for Paper Lovers, turned it over and over and left it there! I have too many pieces of paper to get more. But, I understand how you feel.
Remember to pick up a European version and do a compare/contrast blog posting.
The last time I returned the library books I kept telling myself that I’ve piles of my own books to read so at least that took away part of my urge, lol. I’m doing OK as long as I don’t step into the library, haha.
