Resolution

If you’ve been wondering why I haven’t mentioned which books I’ve checked out from the library lately it’s because, believe it or not, I haven’t checked out a book in almost four weeks.

Don’t call 911 yet, I’m quite alright, I just haven’t checked out any books. It’s been a struggle. I have gone to the library, but I’ve just petted the new books, I’ve walked up and down the aisles, and in the end I’ve walked away. Why am I torturing myself? Did I fail to pay a fine?

Nothing so drastic as that. It’s just that I realize if I don’t start reading some of the books from my stacks at home, I really will never get through them. Not only that but while I was going through some of my stacks trying to find the perfect book to read this weekend, I realized I’ve even got duplicate copies of one book. Reading the book jacket, I’m not so sure I know what made me think this was such a great book to buy – twice!

Plus, another reason to get through my stacks is, if there’s any way I expect my husband to get me books for Christmas presents then I probably should read the ones he got me last year.

Let’s see how long I can keep this up.
