Why is it that my library holds all seem to come in at the same time? Of course this means that I’ll end up trying to extend due dates or worse, have to return books without being read only to end up in the “place hold” cycle again. Sigh.
I picked up Birds Without Wings by Louis De Bernieres. I loved Captain Corelli’s Mandolin but have heard that this book is no Captain Corelli’s Mandolin. Hmmm.
My other two books were To The Power of Three by Laura Lippman and Judgment of the Grave by Sarah Stewart Taylor.

Okay, I think my husband is asleep now so I’m off to get his birthday gifts together. Tomorrow will be a day for chocolate, celebration and presents.
