New Books

I had quite a stack of books waiting for me and have finally been able to put them on my shelf. Now I just need to find time to get to them. I think I’ve got some very exciting books. If you’ve already read some of these or they are on your radar let me know.

  • Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake. A YA tale of a ghost hunter and a ghost. This may be just the perfect RIP read and I am digging the cover a lot.
  • Feast Day of Fools by James Lee Burke. As much of a mystery fan as I am I can’t believe I’ve not read anything by this author. The story sounds good although I admit I don’t particularly like to read stories set along the Mexican/American Border towns. I’ve been disappointed by writing that seems just like one stereotype after another but I’ll try to keep an open mind for this one.
  • With Fate Conspire by Marie Brennan. A steampunk novel which sounds like fun although it is the last in a series. I need to look through my shelves because I think I have another one from this series.
  • Crossed and Matched by Alley Condie. Two YA Dystopian novels. Yay.
  • The Girl on the Cliff by Lucinda Riley. When I was traveling I saw a book by this author which seemed like my type of book so I’m very excited to have this ARC. Not the same book but this one looks very good too.
  • The Immortality Engine by George Mann. The first steampunk novel I read was The Affinity Bridge by George Mann, which I really enjoyed, so I look forward to this one.

So those are my latest new books. Lots of fun stuff to try I think.
