Looking Forward

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Ours was good as it was filled with bookstore trips, a movie, laughter and sunny days. I had a Border’s coupon and treated myself to The Selected Works of T.S. Spivet by Reif Larsen. It looks like such a fun book. Have you read it?

Aside from reading my current books which I blogged about recently, I am looking forward to adding a couple of more books to the mix. First, there’s Persephone Reading week. I’ll do a proper post for that but I’ve decided to read Mariana by Monica Dickens. I’m being a bit sly as that’s also a book for my 30’s Mini-Challenge but I figure that’s ok.

Also, May is Short Story Month and as I’ve been falling a bit behind on my Short Story reading challenge I thought this would be the perfect time to get in another story or two. Actually, for my challenge I had said I would read 10 short stories but I’m going to mix it up and say it can be short stories and/or collections. So to my reading mix I’m going to add Alone With You by Marisa Silver.

I also need to fit in The Wings of the Sphinx by Andrea Camilleri for my next mystery book club read. Of course there are many other books I want to fit in this month so we’ll see. I’m looking forward to some good reads and probably some book buying splurges as I have a birthday at the end of the month.

So those are some of my plans for the month, what about you?
