Little Box of Books

Did I tell you about the recent book purchases I got? I don’t think I did. I’m still organizing my shelves and I was adding these new additions when it dawned on me that I hadn’t mentioned them. Well, here are the goodies I got last week:

  • Dead of the Day by Karen E. Olson. This is the third in the Annie Seymour series. This time the intrepid reporter might be facing off with the police chief.
  • Shadow Man by Cody McFadyen. I think I first heard about this book via Les and have had it on my list for a while. It sounds like a fast-paced thriller.
  • Too Darn Hot by Sandra Scoppettone. I loved the first Faye Quick book — just read it last month. So I had to get the second and find out what investigating Faye gets up to next.
  • Funeral Music by Morag Joss. This is one of those series I’ve had on my radar for a while. I may have to substitute this one as one of my reads for the First in a Series challenge.

So that’s my little bounty of books. I think I need to stay away from the library from now until the end of the year. That’s not a real goal but I’m going to try and stick to my books and maybe make some headway in all those TBR stacks.

Oh, and don’t forget you still have time to enter the Sweetsmoke Giveaway!
