J.K. Rowling is voted Britain’s greatest living writer. What do you think about that? I can’t comment as I haven’t read any of the Harry Potter books nor are they on my reading list. I did see some of the movies and liked those.
Speaking of movies, have you guys seen the preview for The Namesake? I didn’t even know this was being made into a movie. I really liked Jhumpa Lahiri’s book and while I’m usually not a fan of my favorite books made into film, somehow this one looks like it has potential.
And, great news, I have received another gift card to Barnes & Noble. Seriously this weekend I vow to use up some gift cards. I’ll just have to find another Barnes & Noble store that is better stocked than the ones I visited last weekend. Otherwise I’ll just have to buy journals and coffee.
