In My Book Bag

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAI had a library hold to pick up this week but as you can see from my book bag which could barely hold all of my books, I walked out with a few more books than I intended.

Here are my library loans:

Night Life by David C. Taylor. Life for NYPD detective Michael Cassidy is black and Red all over in this thriller set during the McCarthy era of the 1950s. This is the July read for my mystery book group.

The Dove’s Necklace by Raja Alim. When a dead woman is discovered in Abu Al Roos, one of Mecca’s many alleys, no one will claim the body because they are ashamed by her nakedness. As we follow Detective Nassir’s investigation of the case, the secret life of the holy city of Mecca is revealed.

Maestra by L.S. Hilton. By day, Judith Rashleigh is a put-upon assistant at a prestigious London art house. By night, she’s a hostess at one of the capital’s notorious champagne bars.

Murder in Morningside Heights by Victoria Thompson. Another entry in the Gaslight mystery series. This time Frank Malloy and Sarah are now married and adjusting to their new life while they investigate a murder of course.

Content, Inc. by Joe Pulizzi. Strategies for developing valuable content and building an audience. I figure that as I have an online shop this might be useful information.

Have you read any of these? Let me know what you think.

So what are you up to this weekend? I get to see a dear friend who is in town so that should be a lot of fun. Other than that, I’m hoping to do a bit of organizing and reading. Have a great weekend!
