This Thanksgiving Holiday is sure to be a strange one but I hope that however you spend it, it is going to be a safe and lovely holiday. We typically don’t have big Thanksgiving celebrations as all of our family is out of the country but sometimes we spend the day with friends. Not this year.
We’ll have a good meal and enjoy days off from work to spend on crafting, being in nature and reading. I can finally catch up on some books! I will say that we typically would go to the bookstore for a long afternoon of browsing and shopping but again, thanks to the pandemic, we won’t be doing that.
I’m sure I’ll be doing quite a bit of online shopping. I wouldn’t mind getting some new fountain pen ink, or maybe some stickers for my journals. Well, I am sure, there will be some book buying going on so I promise to tell you about all of that.
For now, I just want to say thank you so much for being here. I know I’ve been very lax in responding to comments and I promise to do better. I wish you and your loved ones a Happy Thanksgiving and a great weekend and more book talk soon!
Happy Thanksgiving, Iliana!
Happy Thanksgiving! The day may be different from those in the past, but it can still be special. We are probably more aware of the little things we are grateful for than ever before. How much more pleasure from new fountain pen ink now, from a good book, from the comfort of close family than when we took those things for granted.
Happy Thanksgiving! Hope your holiday weekend is relaxing and fun. 🙂
I am happy to know that you are well!
Keep on reading and crafting.
I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving, Iliana. It was definitely unusual this year, wasn’t it? And now we’re moving toward Christmas, which will also be a bit strange. I’m not really in the holiday spirit this year, but our tree is up and we’ll get it decorated this afternoon. The rain has stopped, so I’m hoping to get outside (finally!) and go for a long walk. Take care!
Hope you enjoyed your quiet Thanksgiving. A very different year for us, but we still enjoyed the traditional meal without all the family. We did get to Zoom with them though. Take care!
Melody – Hope you are doing great and had a lovely weekend!
Jen – I agree. I think even if we are all unhappy about 2020 for many of us there are still so many things to be thankful for. By the way, I finally sent you a letter! So sorry it took quite a while.
Lark – Yours too! It was relaxing but too short 🙂
Isabel – Hope you and your family had a great Thanksgiving! Yes, to reading and crafting. Hope you got to do some as well!
Les in OR – I don’t think Thanksgiving got to me too much given that we are usually just spending the holidays alone but Christmas will definitely be hard as we typically get to see friends and family but all news about the upcoming vaccines sound hopeful even if not this Christmas at least we are seeing some hope! Hope you were able to head outdoors and enjoy some beautiful scenery!
Joann@Gulfside Musing – Oh I’m glad you guys enjoyed a delicious meal and at least were able to zoom with your family. It’s the little things right?
