I had so much fun at the Canton Flea Market. Even though it’s only an hour away from Dallas I’ve never been. Isn’t it funny when you discover something new about your surroundings?
My friend and I had perfect sunny skies when we set off on Saturday. We wandered around old junk, furniture, clothes, vintage items and even some books. I saw an old edition of a Trixie Belden book, which I would have bought if the binding had been in better shape but it was falling apart.
I did find some old postcards from the early 1900s, which I plan to use those in some of my collage work. I also bought a 1954 edition of Family Circle magazine for $1. The ads in those magazines are always the best aren’t they?
So I didn’t find a book treasure but I had a great time.
