Feast On Life

I could use an extra day off couldn’t you? Saturday I had a bit of a headache and was just in a grumpy mood most of the morning. I attribute it to the heat. So, I felt like most of Saturday just flew by and I hadn’t accomplished anything.

Luckily after realizing that what I needed to do was just rest, which I did, I felt much better. We went out to a new restaurant with friends in the evening. Ate some good food, laughed a lot and no doubt the glass of wine I had helped too. hee.hee.

Today in my yoga class our teacher read us some poetry as we were doing Supta Baddha Konasana. The poem she read was Love After Love by Derek Wolcott and it made me appreciate there’s always at least one thing in a yoga session which will be just what I needed that day. A good way to seal the weekend.

Now I didn’t get a chance to do any blog visiting and I’m behind but I look forward to catching up this week. Also, I didn’t finish Manservant and Maidservant which we are discussing over on the Slaves but I will try to finish that in the next couple of days. And, as far as the Paris in July challenge goes, I did go see a wonderful Matisse exhibit but I didn’t finish Murder in the Marais, which was a mystery I had high hopes for but didn’t deliver. Thank you to Tamara and Karen for hosting!

I’m excited about the week ahead. I hope to reconnect with a good friend of mine who I haven’t seen in a while, I’m expecting a box from Amazon and the fridge is stocked with popsicles for the hot days ahead. Good times. I hope your week will also be filled with lots of those!
