Eeeww!

Read this article only if you aren’t easily squicked out. I have been dabbling in bookbinding for a couple of years now but had never heard of books bound in actual human skin. Gah, I hope I don’t have nightmares tonight.

Moving right along, I found a great bargain and got Book Arts by Mary Kaye Seckler at a local craft store. The book has patters and what looks like good, clear directions. We’ll see when I actually try some of the projects.

I spent most of the weekend working on craft projects and unfortunately it was one of those occasions when most of the items ended up in the trash. Paper didn’t glue well, colors turned muddy and collages just didn’t look right. Oh well, I’ll chalk it up to lessons learned.

Reading-wise I finished The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon. This is one that deserves a proper review, which I will save for later, but for now I’ll just say go read this book.
