Last night I picked up N.P. by Banana Yoshimoto. Only forty pages into the book and I’m hooked. I’ve never read any of her books. Are there any fans of hers out there? What do you think?
If the rest of this book is as good as the beginning I will definitely be looking for some of her other novels.
I saw that the Orange Prize has been awarded to Zadie Smith for her novel, On Beauty. I’ve only read a synopsis and I wouldn’t say it’s been high on my to be read list but a friend mentioned that I should move it up on my list. Of the shortlist for the Orange Prize I did read The History of Love by Nicole Krauss, which I loved.
