Books for the Gulf Coast

With all the devastation going on in the wake of Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and Stan and most recently the massive earthquake in South Asia, this is really minor but I wanted to post it anyway in case you have some bucks to spare.

Alibris is working with the Texas Library Association (TLA) to help restock the shelves of 12 libraries that were completely destroyed in Louisiana and Mississippi. TLA has established a book donation program to accept contributions on behalf of the affected libraries. For each book donated through their wishlist, Alibris will match book for book.

So if you were planning to buy a book for yourself anyway why not donate one to a library in need.

And, in case you were wondering, I have finally moved on to a new book. Erin Hart’s Lake of Sorrows. I really liked her first book so I hope this one won’t disappoint.
