When open this book looks like a Star. It's about 4 1/2 by 2 inches and has a casing made out of heavy cardstock. This book is perfect for quotes, short poems or sayings.
Some materials used: Italian Florentine paper for the book covers, canson paper for the inside pages, gold thread to pick up the golden accents in the Italian paper, funky fibers, paper beads and charms.
This was my first bookbinding project made in June 2003. I call it my lucky star book because the poem I chose to write in the pages was a poem I wrote. I later submitted that poem to a small journal and it was published. It has some magical powers indeed.
