I don’t think I’ll be able to sleep well tonight. I’m too excited thinking about the annual public library book sale that starts tomorrow. Hardbacks for $2, paperbacks for $1 and by Saturday and Sunday the prices go down even more.
Of course, I’ll go back on the weekend but I have to be there for the first day of the sale. I mean, what if a book I’ve been looking for is snatched up by someone else?
I always manage to find one book that turns out to be a treasure. I hope I’m not jinxing myself. My book bag is ready, and I’m going to work a bit earlier so I can take an extended lunch hour. Talk about devotion because I’m not a morning person and going in to work earlier is a sacrifice.
