I celebrated my birthday on Wednesday with lots of presents and good wishes from my husband, friends and family. There isn’t anything better than that right?
You want to know what I got? My husband got me lots of Betty Boop stuff – a wallet, a pencil case, and a pen. It’s all so cute. He also got me a beautiful necklace and earrings set and the DVD of Under The Tuscan Sun. A DVD we promptly watched and enjoyed. Isn’t he great!
From my friends I got lots of goodies – a purse and gift certificates. And, Christine got me Kazuo Ishiguro’s latest, Never Let Me Go. Not only that but it’s signed and dedicated to me! Actually, this is the second book of his that I have signed (the other one was also a gift from Christine – do I know how to pick friends or what!). I’ll be doing some gloating among my bookwormy friends that’s for sure.
It’s been a good birthday. Now I’m off to read and I’ll be back tomorrow with more tales of books read.
