Bargain Books

We went to the 75% Off Bookstore on Saturday and I found four books for 99 cents each. I bought Inez by Carlos Fuentes, Rispandimi by Susanna Tamaro, The Muse Asylum by David Czuchlewski, and Bangkok 8 by John Burdett . How could I pass up those kinds of bargains?

And, as if that weren’t enough I discovered a new web site – Book Close Outs. Seriously, you can spend hours there looking through all of their bargain books. What am I gonna do with all of these books I have? We now have books lined up on the stairs.

I think I really need to impose the “No Visits to the Library” rule for one month. It hurts to even type that but I really need to read some of my books and thin out the stacks. After I read them maybe I can give some books to friends, donate them to the library or sell some to the used bookstore.

So I’m off to catch up on my reading. Currently I’m reading Death at la Fenice by Donna Leon and Don’t Let’s Go To The Dogs Tonight by Alexandra Fuller. Still too early to tell about the Leon book but the Fuller book is fascinating.
