I’m glad you guys enjoyed reading the randoms. I’ve been challenged by Stefanie to reveal some more info about me but so we won’t go into Iliana Information Overload, I’ll save that for tomorrow.
In the meantime let me tell you about a wonderful exhibit I got the chance to see today. We spent the afternoon at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth experiencing the complex works of Anselm Kiefer.
There were paintings, watercolors, books and sculptures with my favorite being Book with Wings. Check on the Moder Art Museum link and you’ll see a picture of that on the front page. Doesn’t that book look like it could just take off?
As I enjoy bookbinding, I was especially excited to see Kiefer’s metal books. There was a steel bookcase with books. How he made that, I wish I knew. I wish I could show you pictures of these but of course no photography is allowed.
After seeing the exhibit we spent time in the museum shop. I love museum shops, don’t you? You can always find the best art books and fantastic gift items. I especially liked these postcards.
