Another Challenge

I couldn’t resist joining Booklogged’s Winter Classics Challenge. I have always lamented not reading enough classics in school so this is perfect for me. The hard part was finding the right books but I finally came up with my five classics.

Emma by Jane Austen – Can you believe I’ve only read one Austen book? For shame.

Ramona by Helen Hunt Jackson – Thought it would be nice to offset most of the European settings of the other books with this one.

Lady Audley’s Secret by Mary Elizabeth Braddon – Because I do like a little murder and mystery in my stories.

Elizabeth and Her German Garden by Elizabeth Von Arnim – The Enchanted April is a favorite of mine so I wanted to read something else by this author.

Life & Death of Harriett Frean by May Sinclair – I do like the synopsis but it’s also a really slim novel and that might help me complete this challenge.

I don’t know how well I’ll do as I seem to be falling behind on my From The Stacks challenge. There are more challenges out there but I think I have enough with these two because otherwise how can I still participate in some of the online reading groups, my in person book groups, and still have enough time for MY books?

Okay I better go do some reading.
