My name is Iliana and I’m addicted to books. Ever since I learned how to read I’ve never been caught without a book close at hand. I have books by my bedside, in the car, at my office, and I’ve been known to pack light when I travel so any extra suitcase space will be used for book purchases.

I’m originally from Mexico but lived in the Dallas area for a long time. We moved to Austin in June 2008 though so am happy to be back in Central Texas. I’m married to a German guy who shares my love of book buying. He’s just more into art and graphic design books. Friday nights you'll usually find us at the local bookstores enjoying coffee, magazines and books.

When not reading I am playing with paper as I enjoy bookbinding, card making and other paper crafts. I opened an Etsy shop in 2008 for all those journals I've been making. Other pursuits include writing poetry, photography and journaling.

Some of my favorite authors are: Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Kazuo Ishiguro, Margaret Atwood, Isabel Allende, David Sedaris, and Barbara Kingsolver, and many more. One of these days I will put together a list of my favorite books. I enjoy fiction, mysteries, YA, poetry, graphic novels, travelogues and the occasional non-fiction.
