I get home today and have a package from Amazon. Yippee, I’m sure it’s The Street of Crocodiles by Bruno Schulz for the next Slaves discussion. Well, it is but the book’s back cover is bent and torn. I bought a new book so why am I getting this beat up copy?
I don’t have a problem with ratty books if they are used books but if I’m buying a brand new book I do want it to be a nice copy. I mean, wouldn’t everyone expect that?
Sad thing is that this is the third time I’ve received a book from Amazon that is in bad condition. The other times I’ve let it go but I’m getting tired of this.
Has this happened to you? What would you do? I’ve already sent off an email to them so I’ll keep you posted on what they say.
