Well, between the whirlwind of a weekend and several nights of insomnia I think it’s time for this Bookgirl to take a bit of a break. So, I’m sorry I won’t be around the blogosphere much this week (oh, yes, and I’ve got a quick trip up to Dallas) but I really do have lots of bookish stuff to share with you and promise to get to it next week.
I will tell you that I’m still in the middle of several books. They are:
- The Ice Chorus by Sarah Stonich. The author sent me this book and I’m enjoying the dreamy quality of it. It’s about a documentary filmmaker who goes to Ireland hoping to find refuge from her past and in the meantime immersing herself in the lives of others.
- The Chocolate War by Robert Cormier. Remember I mentioned that I picked this one up for Banned Book Week? Well, I love this book so far. It’s much more than I had expected so I can’t wait to find out what happens.
- A Deadly Paradise by Grace Brophy. I can’t say that I’ve liked this one as much as the first book in the series but who knows how the ending will turn out and so I’ll tell you later what I thought.
I’m sure I’ll add another into the mix soon. Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful week – read something good – and I’ll be back soon.
