What I Found

Here’s what I came away with on my recent visit to Half Price Books:

  • What the Dead Know by Laura Lippman. I wasn’t sure if I had this book but at only $1 I couldn’t pass it up. If I do have it I can always share it with someone from my mystery book group.
  • A Legacy by Sybille Bedford.
  • Blood Orange by Drusilla Campbell.
  • Prospect Park West by Amy Sohn. I remember this book catching my attention first because I liked it’s cover.
  • Faith by Jennifer Haigh. I really enjoyed her book Baker Towers so I hope this one will be an equally good read.

I can’t believe I got all of this bounty for $5. Good stuff. Let me know if you’ve read one of these and what you thought.

I’m making it an early night because I’ve had to take some allergy medicine and I am feeling sleepy. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend ahead.

I listened to Faith on audio a year ago and it blew me away. Talk about feeling all the emotions, all conflicted and twisted together, and not knowing HOW THE HELL I was going to verbalize it in a review. You’ll be glad you got that one.

Hi Iliana! I hope you are doing well. I haven’t been blogging in a long time now. I hope you remember me though :)

That is an awesome pile of books… but that price is even more awesome-er :D

    Have fun time reading :)

What a good deal. I liked Baker Towers, too. I listened to the Laura Lippman on audio and it was a great listening experience–I should try another of her books sometime!

I really liked Baker Towers, too, but have not read anything else by her. I have Mrs Kimble and got Faith for Christmas, so really should read her again!

I read Faith a while back. Great book. I will recommend for my book club this fall. I can’t wait for the intense discussion that will undoubtedly happen.
