Fun In Heidelberg

We’ve had some wonderful moments in Heidelberg over the past few days. We’ve visited the castle, enjoyed a boat cruise and learned a bit about the city. Here are some pictures of what we’ve seen:

View of Heidelberg from the Castle.

A “free” library. You can take a book and leave one behind if you like.

On a walk along the Philosophenweg.

Have enjoyed so many goodies.

We’ve spent some time in Hannover and in the next few days we’ll also be in Braunschweig to visit some friends.

I’ve also been enjoying a lot of good books and can’t wait to tell you about them. I’m happy to report that the Kindle is working great! Of course I’ve visited a couple of bookstores, although I haven’t bought anything yet, but I’m taking note of book titles and will be sharing all of that soon.

When I was in high school I begged my parents to let me be an exchange student to Heidelberg but they wouldn’t let me go. One of these days I will have to visit it. Those pastries look soooo good!

How did I miss that you’re in Germany!?! I haven’t been to those particular areas but I’ve always wanted to visit Heidelberg. Isn’t there a giant clock of some sorts there? Any chance of making it to Munich for Oktberfest? ;) We were there two years ago and it was a blast.

    Enjoy!!!

Oh, Iliana, I love this post. It’s been so long since I’ve been to Heidleberg, twenty years at least, which I used to visit at least once a month. Your pictures took me back to when I taught in Germany in a little town called Gelnhausen. Such happy days!

I love all these photos! I’ve never been to Germany, but it looks like I’m going to have to add it to my list.

Glad your Kindle is working out. My mom got a Nook this past spring and thoroughly enjoyed having it for her recent Alaskan cruise. Makes packing so much easier, doesn’t it?
