Almost the Weekend
Oh I’m ready for the weekend, how about you? I don’t have big plans really but that’s the best part. I feel like there’s so much I could do. So much potential for fun and adventure but watch, I’ll be so tired from the heat I may just curl up with a book and stay indoors.
A few things I would like to do are:
- Spend some time browsing through NetGalley. How have I not checked this out fully before?!
- Would love to check out this scrapbooking store, Scrapology. I don’t scrapbook but love the papers for other projects.
- Catch up on the NPR Summer Books series. I always find a book or two to add to my list.
- Enjoy our new succulent garden. We only did a bit of landscaping on our front lawn but it’s so pretty. Maybe next year we’ll do more.
- And, go to the bookstore of course.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

July 29th, 2011 at 12:00 pmNo big plans here either, just a hair cut and a few drinks at a local bar tomorrow and take away tonight. Sometimes that is the nicest kind of weekend. I bet your garden looks fab btw, would love to see pictures…

July 29th, 2011 at 2:49 pmDinner with friends, whom I’ve not seen ALL SUMMER. Parent meeting to commence the start of football season. (Remind me again why I didn’t want the season to end last year?) Time to ramp up my crock pot cooking, as the practices are five days a week. School supply and uniform shopping. Reading? I doubt it, but I’ll try…

July 29th, 2011 at 10:41 pmThat’s how I feel–the heat and humidity zaps all my energy–you have to prop me up in front of the computer at home in the evening!
Have a great weekend. Beware of Netgalley–I have requested far too many books and will be reading them well into spring I think!

August 1st, 2011 at 3:48 pmI have no right to complain about heat after hearing the news talking about how hot it has been in TX. Will there be a photo of your succulent garden? Hope you had a nice weekend full of reading.

August 1st, 2011 at 10:44 pmI should turn some of my gardens into succulent beds, what with the incredibly hot temps we get in the summer. It’s 105 today. Again! Phew!
