Slowing Down

No, things aren’t slowing down for me but they may be a bit slow here at the blog for several days. You see, now I get to tell you why things have been so crazy. We are moving! We’re still in Austin but we are saying goodbye to apartment living and moving in to our house – yay!

That’s why I’ve been a bit absent from the blog and blogosphere. I owe emails, I’m behind on reading your wonderful posts, etc. So, I’m sorry I’ve been a bit out of it but I hope this excuses my behavior. This moving to a house business is exciting, overwhelming, fun, tiring, you name it.

Now, it’s back to packing for me. I’m up to 31 book boxes and I still have all my craft books, poetry books and a few others left to pack. I can’t wait until we get settled in and my library/craft studio are back up and ready to be enjoyed.

In the meantime I hope you guys are reading lots of good things. I’ll try to post and blog visit in between some packing and moving breaks.

Oh and a bit off topic but if you are still doing your Christmas shopping my Etsy Bookbinding Team is having a big event. If you are planning to buy a journal or other paper goods shop at any of the participating stores this week (mine included!) and you can be entered to win some super cool prizes. Here are the details.

    Congrats on your move, Iliana!
December is not really a productive month for me, at least reading-wise. ;)

Hope the move goes smoothly and that you will update us after you are settled down in your new house.

Yay!!!! How exciting is that?! Yes, buying and moving into a house is very time-consuming and stressful, yet fun and exciting. Enjoy every moment and be sure to share pictures once you get settled. Will you be in it by Christmas?

Congratulations Iliana, this is very exciting. I just can’t believe that my two favorite book bloggers are moving. Margaret from Booksplease is also moving this month. I do hope that you post pictures of your new place soon and that creative juice will flow non stop in the studio. Happy moving!

Comgrats! Moving is ALL those things. My bff lives in Austin, actually Cedar Park, and I wish I was moving there and to my own house no less. You live in a great city. :)

Wow, that is exciting! Think of how many more bookshelves you can have! Moving is soooo much work, so I understand. The last time I moved, I was pregnant with my son (10 and half years ago) and I swore that I would die in this house. I have all kinds of admiration of you moving during the busiest time of year!

Will you be in your new place for Christmas? What great timing that would be.

By the way your book journal arrived today, it’s so cute. I’m passing it on as part of a holiday swap and I’m sure the recipient is going to love it.

Congrats on the house! I hope you will have a nice big room for your studio and books! 31 boxes of books so far isn’t bad at all. I think when I moved from apartment to house we packed around 40 boxes of just books. I hope moving goes well. And be sure to take pictures when you are all settled in!
